After some reorganisation to be in line with COVID regulations our 2020 competition is set to recommence!!
We are excited to announce the continuation and completion of the 2020 cycle in February at the schools of our finalists from Round 1. With more qualifiers than usual we welcome 266 senior and 135 junior competitors into the second and final round of the 2020 KKMO!
Taking place on the 18th of February, winners of the second round will be selected to go forward and be prepared via online platforms to take part in the International Mathematical Olympiad which will be held in Russia in July 2021, as well as the PAMO (Date as yet to be announced).
We have decided this year to draw the winners of the competition from round 2 and not as traditional, select them from round 3. This is to maximise the amount of preparations participants will have before the international games. Winners will of course also benefit from cash prizes and awards for them and their schools! This prize giving is scheduled to take place around June of this year.
In addition to the list of prizes for the 2020 cycle and to celebrate our first year as a partner in the competition, KAPEK has decided to award all participants in the 2020 competition with a new KAPEK Scientific Calculator Math’s Set just for them! Calculator sets will be distributed to schools in April.
Urging all participants in Round 2 2020 to study hard and practice up! Kenya, and the world is waiting to see your genius.
