KKMO- Medalist wins scholarship to Harvard! This coming fall (August 2021). 

Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Peter Chege Wanjiru will be making the Class of 2025

Peter, who is part of the KKMO family and a great source of pride to all the team here, represented Kenya in the International Mathematical Olympiad as part of the KKMO Kenyan Team (2019).

Graduated from Nairobi School in 2019, And now Harvard in 2025, we know Peter is off to accomplish big things! Congratulations from everyone at the KKMO!!!

Of course Peters participation in the KKMO like so many participants before him has helped to open the door to this immense opportunity. Year after year we have the privilege of seeing participants using their involvement in the KKMO which showcases their talents and tenacity to open doors to their futures and give them an edge on other applicants.

The KAKEP Kenya Mathematical Olympiad provides a platform for young ambitious secondary school students to exercise their mathematical skills and participation in the competition has shown to improve students’ mathematics performance in schools sharpening their mathematical problem-solving skills and increase their capabilities in exams as seen in Chege who attributed his scholarship success to the KKMO contest.

KKMO is back with the 12th edition and registration is ongoing! This year is bigger and better as it promises to be more fun and impacting. Top winners will go on to represent Kenya at the world mathematical stage in Oslo Norway connecting with other great minds around the world. Also included for winning students and schools are winner certificates, trophies, cash prizes, and other exciting giveaways and of course the KAPEK all-in-one Mathematical sets!
