The Equations have all been solved, the final numbers have been tallied and now it is our great pleasure to announce the winners of the 2020 KKMO.

The 11th edition of KKMO took off in March 2020 with participants from all over Kenya. The year 2020 is a milestone year in the life of the competition with the largest ever number of participants taking part. This marked the KKMOs first year of its partnership with KAPEK Scientific Mathematical Instruments. Taken place in March 2020, the first round of the competition saw over 1200 students battling it out, and while the second round was stalled due to COVID-19 restrictions the participants remained undeterred and relentless in bringing out their genius and rise to the KKMO challenge.

With the much anticipated second round of the 2020 KKMO cycle conducted on the 18th of February 2021, our KKMO dream team emerged exceptional mathematicians, the winners will go forward to represent Kenya on the world stage through the International Mathematics Olympiads competition. This year there is an additional accolade of the winners who will receive cash prizes for themselves and their schools in recognition of their immense success. These prizes will be distributed in June 2021 via a virtual prize giving ceremony.

In the spirit of rejoicing with the winners of the 2020 KKMO and marking the first year of partnership with KAPEK Scientific Mathematical Instruments, KKMO will be distributing free sets of KAPEK to all participants of the 2020 KKMO as a way of celebrating their success and encouraging even more participation in the coming years - these sets are due to arrive in schools May 2021.

While the 2020 cycle of KKMO has come to a close, a quick reminder that the 2021 cycle is still open for registration and call on all schools, parents, guardians and all stakeholders in education all over Kenya to register their students and wards for the prestigious competition that will not only identify their talents in mathematics but will also give them an opportunity like no other.
